Fall 2020 scheduling[edit]

User Mrschimpf is enamored with the following text: "Due to NFL coverage and 60 Minutes, along with the need of affiliates to air their late local news as close to their regular timeslot as usual. This iteration has mostly hewed to a more traditional commercial structure to fit films into a two-hour timeslot, with an occasional three-hour film on weeks without national NFL doubleheaders."

Not only is it unsourced, it's grammatically incorrect (the first "sentence" is an incomplete thought) and also factually wrong. As I stated when I deleted his text, Star Trek Beyond was scheduled for 3 hours instead of 2.136.49.157.251 (talk) 14:18, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Btw, Mrschimpf, your latest edit CONTRADICTS ITSELF. "Because of the network's NFL coverage and 60 Minutes leaving limited time to air a full feature film with commercials, along with CBS's commitment to have their Eastern affiliates start their news by 11:30 p.m. Eastern, the fall run of films usually have been confined to a two-hour timeslot, with an encore sitcom filling the last half hour if the film cannot be stretched to two and a half hours with advertising. In one week, Star Trek Beyond was aired in a three-hour timeslot, as CBS did not air 60 Minutes the Sunday before the 2020 presidential election." You mention a "two-hour timeslot" but then state that a half-hour sitcom is added if a movie can't be stretched to 2.5 hours. If a movie bumping another show due to being too long is a problem, then why would a half-hour sitcom be added to make the programming block even longer? Please stop posting original research that doesn't even make sense.136.49.157.251 (talk) 17:21, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum, Coming to America is scheduled for 2.5 hours on November 29, 2020.136.49.157.251 (talk) 03:51, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

2021[edit]

It seems that movies are back for 2021, but no site has the schedule. Gah4 (talk) 03:20, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
