Happy to review the article.
Failed without further review[edit]
As the article is not broad in its coverage, as it only addresses one example of the invention, and discusses that example in copious amounts of detail, I am 'quick failing' it. I would consider seeking to rename the article (something like 'Burt’s solar compass', and creating a more general article about solar compasses.
Examples of sun/solar compasses not featured adequately (or at all in the article) include:
- Bagnold's compass (ref)
- Sun compasses in the animal world - already covered by another article (ref)
- Viking sun compasses (ref)
- Howard sun compass (ref)
- The Apollo mission sun compass (ref)
