"Tilden: Had sex with mother?" The article states rather matter-of-factly that Tilden is the father of the titular buried child. However, this is never specifically said in the play. I suppose it's a possibility, but all the play really says is that Dodge is not the father. What evidence is there that Tilden and Halie had sex? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.94.87.63 (talk) 17:08, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

---in the revised edition it becomes pretty clear. I'll post some relevant lines in the next couple of days.--134.95.170.81 (talk) 10:09, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

here you go (emphasis added):

Dodge: Tilden's son, Vince. He had two, I guess. SHEPARD 2006: 51. Tilden: I had a son once but we burried him SHEPARD 2006: 58. --Tallulah Teensy Boot (talk) 10:58, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The plot summary only lists characters, not actual plot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Elleng (talkcontribs) 18:35, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Some resemblance[edit]

If the author of this article were to turn to the Pulitzer award-winning play titled 'Buried Child' by Sam Shephard, he might be surprised at the resemblance, at certain points, to the plot summary he has outlined here. JF42 (talk) 15:25, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
