Advert and COI hatnotes[edit]

This article was flagged for being advertorial. It may be a bit more promotional than my other original articles, but check the history - I had to defend the company's notability last year from a random notability attack, despite coverage in USA Today, NBC News, Fox and the NY Post. The entire media coverage section was added to defend the article - not because it actually was necessary for or otherwise improved the article. (You know the saying - "a camel is a horse designed by a committee?") Every single thing in this article is sourced off Google searches, and not one other person agreed that the article should be deleted.[[1]] I'm being accused of COI here and in a few other places. I create fairly regularly and have only had one article deleted in my six years on Wikipedia - for a company I was trying to get an interview with when I started editing, and admittedly didn't deserve to be on the site. (And I didn't get the job!) I share the same last name with two of my article subjects - my father Robert Templeton, a very first article COI mistake I've since disclosed, and Chuck Templeton, the founder of OpenTable, who I've never met. The confidential information referenced in the edit notes by Smartse is a list of my clients on my real world site, none of whom I've done any paid editing for, which is easy to prove by looking at my edits for those companies. This is discussed in more detail on my talk page. I don't know what triggered the COI hatnote here - BrickHouse is not a client, and I've never worked for them. I assume almost everyone interested in security and tech has heard of their AirB&B cam and the Baby Jesus cams?Timtempleton (talk) 21:40, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm removing the COI and Advert hatnotes from the article. Per Template:COI, Like the other neutrality-related tags, if you place this tag, you should promptly start a discussion on the article's talk page to explain what is non-neutral about the article. If you do not start this discussion, then any editor is justified in removing the tag without warning.Timtempleton (talk) 22:05, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
