Bio[edit]

I've tried to clean up the bio a bit, but it needs more work. I think it would be best to separate the film en theatre work. There are also important things missing, I believe. Fwend 09:41, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why dosn't his bio mention that hes a famous impostor? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imposter

Irish American[edit]

There seems to be a concerted attempt on Wikipedia to remove all reference to Irish ancestry. Maybe whoever took Brian Dennehy's out would like to put it back?

Brian Dennehy has long felt an affinity for the plays of Eugene O'Neill.

Vietnam claim in the Wall Street Journal[edit]

The text here said

"In 2007, despite these apparent regrets, he once again told a reporter tales of his imaginary service in Vietnam, this time to Joanne Kaufman of the Wall Street Journal."

The snotball tone notwithstanding, this claim, and the claim from the Dallas Observer, don't perfectly jibe with the article's actual text, which says

"[Dennehy] served with the Marines in Vietnam–excellent preparation, he claimed, for his chosen career."

It's clear that a reliable source says Dennehy was making stuff up again, but without a direct quote, the section has to be mellowed out a bit because it's possible Kaufmann misstated what Dennehy said. CityOfSilver 21:31, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unencyclopedic wording[edit]

This needs an overall copyedit. Parts of it read like some farcical attempt to sound like a Village Voice film critic, e.g. "He gained his arthouse spurs..." Blacklist[edit]

He was in an episode of the TV series "Blacklist" called "The Ataxis Network" in 2016. I tried to add it, but don't have much experience with all of the editing marks, so I'd rather leave it to someone who knows better.
