On creating this article[edit]

I started out to create a missing article for "Paddlers for Life" after an inspiring talk by one of its members who had participated in the Jubilee pageant. I soon realised that there was almost nothing in Wikipedia on this whole topic, nor on Don McKenzie. I have created this article, with various incoming redirects: there didn't seem much point in creating a separate article for him, or for the international commmission, so I've created this integrated, though UK-biased, article.

The title may not be ideal, but it's the best I could think of. If the page gets moved, then the bots will sort out all the incoming redirects so that's not going to be a problem.

I'm sure there's much more to be added about the development of the activity around the world, and will be interested to see how/if the article grows. PamD 12:05, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
