NLR History wrong[edit]

It is incorrect to state that the NLR east of Dalston was closed after war damage. It could have been the docks branch from Victoria Park to Poplar that closed then, but I have been unable to verify the closure date of that line.Stuartsh (talk) 18:57, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Passenger services on the NLR east of Dalston were suspended due to war damage on 15 May 1944 and replaced by buses; the line was officially closed to passengers and the ticket offices closed on 23 April 1945. Very occasional freight traffic continued south of Victoria Park Junction until 1982 when conversion work began for the DLR. The line from Victoria Park Junction to Stratford (i.e., the section still in use as the eastern end of today's North London Line) was owned by the Eastern Counties Railway (later the GER) and never part of the NLR. – iridescent 19:03, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Concert Hall[edit]

There is no apparent linkage between the text about the concert hall and the railway station history. Can someone explain?Stuartsh (talk) 18:57, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"The original station … incorporated a concert hall" – "[the line closed and] the concert hall went through a variety of uses". Seems reasonably clear to me; I'll clean the article up a bit at some point. – iridescent 19:09, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
