Closure date[edit]

My records show that the train service was withdrawn from Monday 6th September 1965. A substitute bus service was provided until Monday 4th October 1965 when the station was officially closed. I have no record of freight services using the line. I wish to query that the line was not a temporary closure but was permanently closed to enable a new carriage maintenance depot to be built.[[Steamybrian2 (talk) 22:44, 15 January 2010 (UTC)]][reply]
