Fair use rationale for Image:Bono on Bono.jpg[edit]

Image:Bono on Bono.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Archived ref[edit]

I am attempting to help with this article and used the webcite help link to go to webcite page in order to try and find the date of the archived page. After attempting to enter the url of the archived page I received a message something like this "your request to archive was successful.." I did not want to request an archive only access the date of archive so that I could insert into the article to fix the error. Anyhow, am wondering if I can get a more experienced editor to help me understand how to use Webcite? The email they sent me to the "archived page" was pretty jumbled and unreadable. Any clue as to what I can do now? Thanks Oh and I am curious about the name of this article because the name of the book is "Bono" not Bono on Bono? Webcite does not allow you to access archives created at a past date without already having that information...it does not automatically create archives. Webcite archives the current version of the page upon request, and provides you with a link that you would then use in the 'archive url' field of the citation, with the 'current' date in the 'archive date' field. It is an 'on demand' service, and (without being rude, I hope) the person who added the 'archive url' did not correctly use it, but instead incorrectly put the amazon page they were trying to reference in the 'archive url' field. If they did archive the page (there is no way to tell) the saved version is not 'findable' without the information provided at that time.
I have corrected the {{cite web}} to correctly refer to the current Amazon page, instead of trying to use the unarchived page in the archive field.

Hello Revent and thank you for your response. I asked about this because I wanted to be sure I didn't mess up the original editors work. I would feel terrible about that. So you fixed the information, thanks, will it be alright now or will what i did mess it up some time in the future? I have no problem admitting to doing something wrong and doing everything I can to correct it. In other words constructive criticism or comments are never considered rude in my world. I am sorry but I do not understand the instruction at the link you provided me for webcite process. I suppose I will need further aid with doing this sort of thing. No, nothing really got 'messed up'...there is an 'extra' copy of the page on Webcite (that you inadvertently created) but it won't hurt anything.
Basically, the way you use WebCite is to go to the 'trigger' url, and then use the returned url in the 'archive url' field, and the current date in the 'archive date' field. Foe example, if I was to to the url...

http://webcitation.org/archive?url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FMain_Page&email=example@sample.com

then WebCite would archive the current version of the Wikipedia main page, and email 'example@sample.com' with the url of the archived copy. You would then use the provided url, which would be something like

http://webcitation.org/query?url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FMain_Page&date=2013-07-11

in the 'archiveurl' field, and the date '2013-07-11' in the 'archivedate' field. (You would actually get a 'encoded' shorter version in the email that could be used as an alias instead.) You can use the page at http://www.webcitation.org/bookmarklet to create a personal 'bookmarklet' (that you would then add to your bookmark bar) to create a 'button' in your bookmarks that makes the process automatic...you go to a page you want to archive, hit the 'bookmarklet' button, and you will get an email with the 'archive url' without having to 'manually' create the url that you go to to trigger the process (the 'bookmarklet' is actually a little snippet of javascript that hides the details). Name of book[edit]

It was questioned above regarding the book name. Actually the correct title is: Bono: In Conversation with Michka Assayas. I have a copy and if you do a Bing search (or horrors Google), it will turn up thusly. This is the title on all the booksellers pages as well. Moreover, this is the title of the book on the cover photo we are currently using on the article page. There is one version on Amazon that is an import book titled: Bono on Bono: Conversations with Michka Assayas but this is not as correctly and initially named. (This seems to be the same as imports of recordings of musical artists: an alternate version.) Thanks Fylbecatulous talk 14:55, 14 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
