Contest speedy delete[edit]

I'm contesting the need to delete this article. The band in question was very important in the Czechoslovak music scene (particularly in the 1970s), and deserves a mention in Wikipedia. I don't have time to add references at this moment, but will aim to do so as soon as possible (next 2-3 days).Jimjamjak (talk) 13:11, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Presence on another Wikipedia does not demonstrate notability, significant coverage in 3rd party reliable sources does. The one reference on the Czech Wikipedia article for this band looks questionable as well.--RadioFan (talk) 19:53, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blue Effect is a legend on the Czech music scene for several decades. I've added relevant sources; it is possible to find out more. @Jimjamjak: Please, when you write a new article, don't forget to cite reliable and independent sources. The existence of the Czech Wiki article does not demonstrate notability for this part of the project, as RadioFan said above.
