"Born on the same day as Sean Connery, Tim Burton and Rachel Bilson"

Rachel Bilson's page has her birthdate as November 13th, not August 25th.

Which is correct?

Bilson was born August 25th. Mad Jack O'Lantern 22:18, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

Pic??

Why do people on Wiki continually choose the most unflattering crap pix of celebrities? Of all the pix of Blake Lively out there, that was the best you could do? Any of the images that come up when you google image her would be like 1000% better than the one which is up now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.60.66.250 (talk) 20:53, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

It's a problem of fair use and copyrights. If a picture is shot by a photographer, then it has to be licensed to be here, which is why we can't just grab the best picture off google and use it. --Terrillja talk 20:57, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Ah, ok. Where do you get the pics from then? Screencaps...or cellphone pics or something?24.60.66.250 (talk) 20:40, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
People who take pictures on their own and then license them here is how most of the pictures got here. Like if you went to a movie premiere, shot pictures of celebrities yourself, and then uploaded the images here. There are also other exemptions, where copyrighted images such as movie posters can be used under the terms of fair use. Check out WP:FU for more info on fair use guidelines.--Terrillja talk 20:49, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Middle Name

There is no official, reputable source that cites her middle name as being Christina, it originated on Wikipedia. Since it is not official, her name should be simply listed as Blake Lively until some source to confirm a middle name can be found.Cait g328 (talk) 21:06, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Her middle name isn't "Christina". Her real birth name is listed on the California Birth Index (she was born under her father's real last name), but I don't know if that's a sufficient enough source to include it. All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 23:49, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Yes, that would definitely be an official source. If you have a link to it, we can change it on here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.23.113.169 (talk) 23:58, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

You said "Brown" was her father's "real" last name. One's "real" last name is never more than a matter of opinion: I may decide that upon a spirtual awakening my name changed to something else, but the Department of Motor Vehicles may argue that until I do the legal process my name hasnt' changed. To correct the sentence you wrote above, first rule out one of two possibilities. The first possibility, which is more likely, is that her father's LEGAL surname was, since his marriage to a woman whose legal name was "Lively" (she never having changed it after HER marriage to a "Lively"), "Lively"; and that for reasons unknown the article's subjects' birth-certificate bears not her father's LEGAL surname but, bizarrely, her father's MAIDEN surname. The second possibility is that, somehow, despite the common practice of adopting a spouse's surname at marriage, Mr. Brown somehow failed to do so in a way that was of LEGAL effect, and merely started USING his spouse's surname. (Could he perhaps have gotten married in some backward jurisdiction where the name-switch can occur only for a female?) If the first case is true, the way to correct the sentence is to say that her birth-certificate bears her father's "maiden" surname. If the second case is true, the sentence should say that her birth-certificate bears her father's "legal" surname. But in NEITHER case is it correct for YOU to take it upon YOURself to decide what does and does not constitute the "real" surname of another human being. You can discuss what is "legal", what is "stage", what is "de plume", what is "alias", what is "maiden", and what is "married". Those are OBJECTIVE FACTS. But you've no business posing as God's appointed arbiter on the SUBJECTIVE designation of one of those as the "real" name, not when it comes to the name (and personal rights) of another human being.69.86.65.186 (talk) 10:36, 13 January 2014 (UTC)Christopher L. According to a search of her parents, birthdate, and birth place on the California Birth Index, her birth name is Blake Ellender Brown. Here is the link. http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=cabirth1905&rank=1&new=1&so=3&MSAV=0&msT=1&gss=ms_db&gsfn=Blake&gsln=Brown&msbdy=1987&uidh=000&msbdd=25&msbdm=8&_83004003-n_xcl=m — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.23.127.184 (talk) 05:24, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

BIG BREAST PICTURE ??

Emm.. Notice how abnormally large are the breasts of Blake Lively at the Sisterhood New York Premiere... Come on guys... Isn't this obvious enough ? Photoshop BAM ;)

Please change this inappropriate picture. I am the proud mother of Rose, Malcom, Alexander, Lily, Adam (ordered by the love I bear them, as always) and I do not want my children to see those horrible things, (Lily my favorite is a die-hard FAN of Blake Lively) So please... Pay a little respect —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.68.253.234 (talk) 02:09, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

"Horrible things"? What is wrong with pictures that show Blake the way God (or her surgeon) made her? There's no nipples showing, it's nowhere near pornographic. The human body is one of God's most beautiful creations, not something to be ashamed of and hidden from the eyes of children. If your second-least-loved Lily is a big fan of Blake Lively, Lily has seen Blake's boobies plenty, any episode of Gossip Girl has Blake's ample assets on display, and God love them for that, Blake has a beautiful body and shouldn't be ashamed of it, she works hard (I'm sure) to look the way she does. Perhaps you should take your own advice and show a little respect for the fact that the world doesn't revolve around your parenting choices. Ella Plantagenet (talk) 00:37, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

What mother refers to one of her children as her favorites in writing for the world to view? Breasts are beautiful. Get over it. ----

I just want to pile on that if a parent who would publicly divulge a listing of their children in rank-order by HOW MUCH THEY LOVE THEM really IS proud, it's because they don't know enough to realize that they should, rather, be ashamed, not proud. Yakking about loving some of your children more others of them is mean and hurtful beyond all reason.69.86.65.186 (talk) 10:36, 13 January 2014 (UTC)Christopher L. Simpson

I agree the picture is awful just because it is completely unflattering she is making a weird face. It frankly seems insulting. I was surprised to see it up here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2620:0:691:B309:D8E8:8FCF:C0D:C0E3 (talk) 18:19, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Birth Date?

The German article states a different birth date than the English one. Which one is correct? - Nino, 23rd May 2011, 11:03 CET —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.111.47.174 (talk) 09:03, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

August 25, 1987. I attended her 18th birthday party. ----

Red Hair

I don't have a huge problem with this, but I'm just a little "concerned". The infobox picture of her is of when she had red hair. She only had red hair for a short period of time and she is primarily known as blonde. I was just wondering if a different picture should be changed to one with her with her natural blonde hair. Ryanlively (talk) 22:03, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

I agree with you, which is why I've changed the infobox picture to a more appropriate one which shows her with blonde hair. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Catasprone (talkcontribs) 17:57, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

Well I believe she has black hairs in real but I never seen any of her picture in black hair Mahrukh Rizvi (talk) 01:44, 30 October 2016 (UTC)

Nude Photos Scandal

How is it that there is not a single mention of the recent scandal regarding supposed nude cellphone pics of her? The Net consensus seems to be 90% that photos are real, so it warrants at least a mention in here, yet the article is locked why? Someone with access please mention this. It would be sad if Wikipedia bowed down to the celebrities and willingly submit to self-censorship so as not to offend them! Whether the photos are real or not this is a huge story and if true reflects on her character. Netrek (talk) 09:16, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia is not a gossip rag. Nymf hideliho! 10:10, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
It's not a huge story. "The Net consensus" is not a reliable source. Also: WP:NOTNEWS, WP:RECENTISM, WP:BLP and WP:WEIGHT. Siawase (talk) 10:28, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

More pics have been leaked, it is very obviously her. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.49.78.23 (talk) 21:09, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, but the naked human body has been an acknowledged subject of art for now about some 100,000 years. If You consider a special photo good enough to write an article about it, go and look for reliable sources! --Hans Dunkelberg (talk) 23:48, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
