Album and Singles table should be sorted by date[edit]

Album and Singles must be sorted by date, and should not be separated by the Korean or Japanese language. Please see example Shakira discography. She released English and Spanish language song and other artist in Wikipedia, they sorted the single by date same. So this must change same other.

Sales stats[edit]

They are all over the place. Figures that we are currently using:

Square Up: equivalent album units (US)
Kill This Love EP: pure sales (US)
Kiss and Make Up: SPS (Australia)
Ddu-du Ddu-du (Japanese version): Oricon physical sales
Kill This Love (Korean version): Oricon digital downloads. We also have Billboard Japan's digital download figures here that we could use.

So what is it going to be? Pure sales or SPS units because "Sales" could mean both. Physical singles or digital downloads or both combined for Japan? Josh (talk) 21:31, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Don't Know What to Do"[edit]

IP users and such have been removing "Don't Know What to Do" (Kill This Love (EP)) from under the singles header of Blackpink discography, resulting in edit disputes while on the verge of WP:EDITWAR, hence I'd like to reach a consensus / roughly see where majority of the verdict lies.

The extended play was released with Kill This Love as a "title track" and Don't Know What to Do as a "sub-title track". The rest were released as b-side tracks.[1] In other words it was simply released as a primary and secondary single hence was listed under the singles header. iKon released their extended play, New Kids: Continue, in a similar manner where Killing Me (죽겠다) was released as a "title track" and Freedom (바람) as a "sub-title track" and has been listed as such on their discography page without any disputes.[2]

I'd like to extend an invite to the users: Abdotorg, Alexanderlee, Evaders99, and Explicit who have the experience, follow Wikipedia guidelines and often contribute to articles under Wikipedia:WikiProject Korea/Popular culture with a WP:NPOV. It'd be greatly appreciated if a simple "yes / agree" or "no / disagree" is shared on the matter (if the track should remain under "singles" or not) so this matter can be resolved with a final verdict. If there's any evidence it was promoted as a single, then it should be listed there. If it truly is just a B-side with they didn't promote it, then it isn't a single. Does anyone have evidence to support either? Evaders99 (talk) 08:14, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The release itself had limited promotions, thus in result making it more vague. However, within the area / time the group promoted (i.e music programs) both tracks were promoted with the focus primarily around Kill This Love. As South Korea hasn't adopted the terms "Single", "A-side" and "B-side", it'll be tough to find any sources that blatantly states as such. Suugaapio (talk) 12:48, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that "sub-title track" is a loan word with an equivalent meaning of double A-side. Beyoncé's "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" were released as double A-sides; the latter was labeled a "sub-title track" 12 years ago by Korean media outlets [3]. Kiss and Make Up[edit]

Hello! Rather than having the 'Collaborations' section for just one song, shouldn't "Kiss and Make Up" be included under the 'Promotional singles' section? Both the song's article and Dua Lipa discography term it as a promotional single, but it is not acknowledged as such in Blackpink's discography. Kill This Love and The Album (Japan Ver.)[edit]

Hello @-ink&fables. Apologize for not having a discussion prior to the change. I think Kill This Love (Japan Ver.) and The Album (Japan Ver.) should be separate to Japanese Studio albums part because there offical website included them [4] and This is obviously in Korean or Japanese albums. Australia[edit]

Australia is easily one of Blackpink's biggest markets outside of their homeland, seeing as they just debuted at #1 with Pink Venom there. In addition, they have connections to the country with one of the members being from there. Their performance in France has been extremely lackluster in comparison, so I feel like it should be replaced. Everm4e (talk) 08:20, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
