The standard Wikipedia parenthetical qualifier for female actors is "(actress)" per use of this form by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (Academy Award for Best Actress, Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress) as well as by all other industry organizations. The article, itself, contains mention that a short film about her, Black-Eyed Susan: Portrait of an Actress (with that specific form used in the title), was produced in 1989.
