Who is Big D???[edit]
This page needs more information on how the band started, what they sound like, mention of their rap album(???), and their impact on the music scene. As it stands now, there is really no useful information in the article. Origin of the name[edit]
I don't know if there are any references, but the name came from McWane's obsession with the movie True Romance. He named both his bands after characters in the movie. - Plausible, but I knew the band members at the time they formed. Steve Foote was my roommate at Berklee College of Music in 1995 and 1996. I recall Dave telling me the same story that's mentioned in the article as a rumor: "...[A] friend told lead singer Dave McWane if he ever started a band he should call it Big D and the Kids Table, so he did." Furthermore, I recall either Dave or Marc telling me that the ultimate source of the phrase was an old TV commercial for AT&T long distance. A voiceover described a variety of unusual friends and family one could call, and one was "Big D. and the kids' table", accompanied (so they told me) by an image of a man supervising a holiday meal "kids' table". Unfortunately, I've got no credible citation for this; I don't think I've even seen the commercial myself. Split with Drexel[edit]
"They have also recorded splits with Melt Banana, Brain Failure, and Drexel." Since it's later stated in the article that Drexel is actually a side-project of some of the Big D band members, should it really be mentioned as a notable split-side? Even if it is technically a split record, I don't think that it merits a mentioning in the summary. -- DrDoog (talk) 21:35, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Gypsy Hill EP/LP[edit]

The LP has the song "Apologies" on it, the EP does not. The article for the EP is mistaken in its track listing by including this song. I would recommend taking the Gypsy Hill EP out of the discography and linking the article to the Gypsy Hill LP. Then state the difference in that article.
Update: I did what I stated above except I left the Gipsy Hill EP in the EP section also linking it to the Gipsy Hill Article. Once I have the privileg.
