Why was this route useful?[edit]

Given that the Poland and Ukraine border contains a lot of flat land, why was it beneficial to go through the Carpathian mountains which would seem much more costly? FreeFlow99 (talk) 12:52, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
