Missing Information[edit]

This article is missing information on the film's release, reception, and legacy. Character names are not indicated in on-screen cast credits[edit]

It should be noted that, since the character names are not specified in either the opening or closing credits, their form in the cast list is taken from various resources, primarily AFI Catalog of Feature Films and IMDb, as well as from personal viewing by editors. For the record, below is a reproduction of the cast listing in the opening credits:

It should be also noted that, although Bela Lugosi's name is part of the title, he is not credited among the cast members. Thus, when the film's opening credits title card, BELA LUGOSI MEETS A BROOKLYN GORILLA, was replaced with one of the re-release titles, THE BOYS FROM BROOKLYN or THE MONSTER MEETS THE GORILLA, Lugosi's name no longer appeared anywhere in the credits.

Lugosi's Universal horror films from the 20's?[edit]

The article states that Realart Pictures re-released Univeral's horror pictures with Bela Lugosi from the 20's and 30's. But as far as I'm aware, Lugosi didn't make any horror films with Universal before Dracula in 1931? JanneWass (talk) 23:01, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Right. He was with Fox until 1929, I think. So it's either Fox and Universal or the 30's only. Will check and correct. — MY, OH, MY! 20:09, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
