Isn't alaindelon supposed to be a satirical representation of Alain Delon, a french actor who was famous in japan in the 70s, as opposed to Freddie Mercury as is written in this article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.194.231.176 (talk) 06:37, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to translate and evaluate[edit]

I am not sure but I think this reference verifies an award for this manga. – allennames 13:07, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Character List[edit]

  • Wondering if there was a better way to organize the character list? It feels a bit all over the place. It is a manga that focuses on a rather large group of people however, with many factions and divisions, so I don't know. Do we still want to categorize the Touhoushinki aside, for example? Kaylahawk (talk) 23:23, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • Hy, Kayalhawk, this is kendama from Mangafox. What a coincidence to meet you here! I'm the one who has written most of this article so far. I haven't started it, though, and retained the Protagonists-Ishiyama-St. Ishiyama-Demon World-Others headings from the earlier versions. I think it makes sense and it is what most manga character lists do (see Code Geass, for example). As for the subdivisions, I've tried to keep the people who are bound to go together in the mind of the reader, so I've used the keystone characters like the Touhoushinki to aggregate the underlings. So when someone reads about Kanzaki, they will know about Shiroyama and Natsume right away. My reasoning is that most of the potential readers will be already familiar with the manga and the characters, so will know where to find them easily. I find the use of the Touhoushinki as a subdivision (it was already in place when I started editing) useful, even more so because it allows us to explain the meaning of the title.
    • Then again, I agree that the "Others" section is a bit messy, and aggregates disparate characters like Koma, Kiriya and Misaki. However, I cannot think of a better solution. I suppose I could put Misaki with Oga, the Kuniedas (grandpa and brother), Isafuyu and Koma with Aoi, but there would be no place for Kiriya and the shadow group. And I thought of putting all demons together, but that wouldn't do Beel, Hilda and Alaindelon justice, since they are way more important than the others (I'm debating now whether Lamia should be moved up to the protagonist section, but I don't think so, or I'd have to do the same for Toujou and Kunieda, and to be honest, the three are not true protagonists, rather they are important secondary characters.
    • Within a division, I retained the original order of the characters that already had profiles and added new ones without much thinking, but I tried to lump St. Ishiyama staff together, for example. Same for the Pillar Squad.
    • Overall, I think it is tolerably organised for such a random series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.92.43.122 (talk) 03:02, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

list[edit]

Would be nice do a list of volumes apart of the page, like other manga pages —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.83.113.124 (talk) 11:57, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Storyline expansion?[edit]

I was wondering whether is there a need to explain the entire storyline on this article rather than just the sypnosis. Please reply to this or I may just replace the story with the sypnosis.--Bumblezellio (talk) 00:04, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I second this, it's way too long for a synopsis and wikipedia is not the place for such elaborate explanations.

I could stay but needs to be shorter, get straight to the point.74.178.186.35 (talk) 03:21, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've shortened the story/plot segment on this article to a simple summary of the series premise. If people want to read a detailed explanation of the plot, they can read the chapter and episode articles. Wonchop (talk) 23:55, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
