Name of one of the greek commanders[edit]

There was never a colonel in the greek or cypriot army with the name "Konstantinos Kombokis" or "Konstantinos Kobokis". Though you can find this name in the whole literature about the conflict, it is wrong. The name of the commander was "Konstantinos Komboki". Konstantinos Komboki was born on 20 January 1926 in Kalithea, Drama, Greece. In 1964 he married a danish, who was serving at the danish court.
