A question concerning authors[edit]

This book MacKinnon, John Ramsay; Phillipps, Karen; He, Fen-qi (2000). A Field Guide to the Birds of China. Oxford University Press. p. 133. ISBN 9780198549406. {{cite book}}: Unknown parameter |DUPLICATE_location= ignored (help). It is listed as the Oxford University Press website it shows it as being authored by MacKinnon and Phillipps. When I click on the ISBN in the article and go to ottobib it adds He. It is not a big deal, but it is a mystery to me. 7&6=thirteen () 13:05, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

7&6=thirteen Ottobib has "Fen" as an author name, and google books has his full name "Fen-qi He", so I guess He is his last name. Adityavagarwal (talk) 13:17, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't concerned about the name. I agree about Google books. But OUP website doesn't credit him at all. 7&6=thirteen () 13:27, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I have seen that. No idea what to do in this case. I do feel that OUP would have the correct one, as it is published by OUP itself, but I also think google books and ottobib combined might be right. No idea which one is right. Adityavagarwal (talk) 13:34, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Me too! 7&6=thirteen () 13:35, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Citations format[edit]

I would suggest we use WP:SFN format. Under WP:CITEVAR I am asking. If you agree, I will do it. 7&6=thirteen () 14:32, 21 September 2017 (UTC)![reply]

I do not have much knowledge about it. If you think it is better, then go ahead (you know much more than I do)! Adityavagarwal (talk) 16:49, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've added it. Unintentionally introduced two three Harvard errors. There is a tool at the WP:Help desk that is supposed to take care of those. will get it and fix it. I've placed an inquiry at the WP:Help desk. 7&6=thirteen () 17:41, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Based on their advice, at least one of those is(sort of) unfixable. More than four authors. 7&6=thirteen () 20:36, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
