Notice: This article lacks WP:A to establish WP:MUSIC[edit]

In my opinion, this article either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Music, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it is a Copyright violation.

Wikipedia articles must be based on reliable sources to verify any claims of notability. Even though the lack of reliable source attribution in an article is not grounds for deletion in itself, an article with absolutely no sources (or only external links to unreliable ones) suggests to some editors that multiple reliable sources may not, in fact, exist.

Although I am considering tagging this article for deletion according to the Deletion policy, I am nonetheless willing to assist User:Charlie from new zealand (talk · contribs), and other recent contributors to this article, to make constructive improvements to it ... I do not have time to examine this article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.

Please respond on this Discussion page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation.—Triwbe (talk) 06:01, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. And if the topic is found to be notable, the article could use some work. Specifically:
 • First references to individuals should provide full names
 • Tone is too conversational, should be encyclopedic
 • Facts (especially ones that sound like they're based on private information) need to be referenced
 • Add wikilinks, e.g. to locations.

By the way, I've learned that this page has been speedy deleted three times in the past. It does, however, appear that it now asserts the importance of its subject. Matchups 7 September 2008

Hi. Am currently in the proccess of editing page to fit guidelines. We are in the middle of a US tour so we have a lot to update :-) Thanks a lot! 24.0.200.127 (talk) 00:25, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As you have just indicated a conflict of interest it would be best if you refrained from editing the article directly. If you have update information, please put a link to the references on this talk page and neutral wikipedians will read the references and add to the article appropriately. THis helps prevent unreferenced "inside information" creeping in and making the article a target for deletion once again. dramatic (talk) 08:01, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I have added three references to the "Achievements" section and reworded it a bit. 24.0.200.127 (talk) 04:41, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that most of this wiki article is based of the CDBaby and iTunes bio of the band. This can be found here. Should this be referenced, or is an external link sufficient? I will add it as an external link for now. 24.0.200.127 (talk) 04:45, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you're making a claim about something, especially when it comes to notability, then you need to provide an inline reference, or citation. Be aware that 99.9% of the time it needs to be from a reliable, third-party, source. If it's just "hey, here's some more info for you if you want it", then the external links section is fine. Hope this helps. Esradekan Gibb "Talk" 05:51, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I have added citations for KEXP. That is only one citation, but if you go to kexp.org and search "Bang Bang Eche" you will see that there are many instances of BBE being playlisted. If this is all good I guess the citations needed thing can be removed. 118.90.42.138 (talk) 05:43, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've added some more citations for this page, the only outstanding citation is the 'Top 5 Added' on College radio thing. I have a link that verifies it right now but it also requires log in on some site, which isn't good. I'm trying to find a way around that right now. 118.90.15.191 (talk) 11:58, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, most of the Anonymous discussion on this page comes from me. I now have an account. I've added the final reference for the 'Top 5 Added' thing. The link I have used is a direct link BUT it requires making an account on a pay service. Anyone can do it, but it does cost money. I realise that this isn't really that great as a citation but I can't find another source. Would I be able to get a screenshot of the information on the page with the URL showing and link to the image? Would this be sufficient for a citation? I have removed the [[Category:Flagged articles]] from the message above . it was flagged at least two months ago by Some Other Editor, but the current version looks OK to me. Avicennasis @ 06:20, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
