Feedback from New Page Review process[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: This page needs significant work, otherwise it may be deleted in the near future.

Thank you @Ldm1954 for reviewing the page and providing feedback. If you have any suggestions to improve the article, I would work on incorporating those. 2601:646:8F80:9A60:7681:59FF:B91:17F1 (talk) 05:40, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
First, you need to remove peacock terms, for instance:
  • a renowned anthropologist
  • outstanding work
Second, as others mentioned it reads like an essay.
Third, while writing a book is notable, editing is less so (or not notable)
Have a look at some others. Without commenting on their content, the organization in Ramaprasad Chanda or Haku Shah is less like an essay, although both have somewhat too much content. Ldm1954 (talk) 06:01, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Ldm1954 Thank you for your valuable suggestions. Updated the style and content of the article. Please let me know if you have any other recommendations. PPJ24 (talk) 20:05, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@PPJ24, much better but there is still some work to do:
  • In career there is duplication of some paragraphs. Sometimes you have to edit on a computer.
  • Do you really need all the edited books? As structured his role is unclear. Unless they are really major I would remove.
  • The books and edited books should use the citation template. One way to do this is to create a ref (e.g. the built in editor) then in the source editor remove the \<\ref> parts. This then embeds the isbn and other info in.

@Ldm1954 thank you for response and guidance. I have updated the article and added further reference. I would like to mention the books edited as some of this work were significant in his field while he was associated with UNESCO.
I was wondering if with the latest edits, it meets the Wikipedia guidelines and the flag on the top of the article could be removed. PPJ24 (talk) 03:23, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I will try and have a look in the next few days. However, since the tags were added by @UtherSRG it would be better if he responded. By my adding here he might see it, but if they don't respond I suggest posting to his talk page. Ldm1954 (talk) 03:39, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I did one more edit and removed two of the tags. - UtherSRG (talk) 12:40, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
