Turned into redirect[edit]

The page was turned into a redirect with no explanation. The 2nd time it was turned into a redirect and said "don't revert unsourced content." Most of the information (as with many album pages) is sourced from the album sleeve. If you feel this is not notable enough to be on WP that is a different argument, but the infobox and tracklist info does not need a source. BeastmasterGeneral 12:45, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I reinstated the info and removed unsourced content. The remaining content is from the album sleeve and I could add a source to the album sleeve if necessary. BeastmasterGeneral 12:48, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Saying it was turned into a redirect without explanation is disingenuous, the article has been tagged as unsourced for over a year. I'll redirect the article unless citations to reliable sources are added. PhilKnight (talk) 13:40, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The current article lists only information that is found in the CD booklet. On all the other album pages I have viewed this information is not cited. If you want I can add a cite to every line or section saying that it came from the booklet. I removed the unsourced tag since I removed all information that was unsourced and not found in the booklet (tracklist, band name, record label, year, line-up). I feel changing the article to a redirect is sidestepping the current system of deleting/merging articles. BeastmasterGeneral 18:26, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
According to the verifiability policy "If no reliable, third-party sources can be found for an article topic, Wikipedia should not have an article on it." Consequently, unless citations to third-party sources are included, the article should be redirected. PhilKnight (talk) 18:47, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
