Hey everybody! B. Dolan here. Thanks for editing the page, but I'd like to respectfully ask the editors of Wikipedia to omit my government name from this page. I don't use it in my professional life, and have had issues w/ some overzealous fans stalking / police sympathizers locating my home address and threatening to burn my house down. 'B. Dolan' is what folks refer to me by. Privacy, pls. -B — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.40.94.52 (talk) 21:04, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you release an article into the Wikipedia main article space, it should be in a condition to be edited, reviewed, etc. by other editors. Articles are shared; they are not the sole responsibility of a their creators. If it's a small and possible incompleted article, then putting the tag {{stub}} at the bottom of the page gives an indication that it is a Wikipedia:stub article rather than a completed item. Where a lot of work is required when starting a new article, it is best to create the article in your own user space (e.g. User:Endemik/New Article) and then move the page to the main article space when it is ready. However, I still think that your article doesn't match up to the notability criteria required for Wikipedia articles. The "speedy delete" may need to be changed into a "Articles for deletion" debate to which editors are invited to contribute; I'll wait and see what an admin thinks about it. ok, well, i'll be sure to do that in the future. i've provided a number of third party sources at the bottom of my page that establish notability, including features on urb.com and reviews in third party publications. this guy is notable as both an activist and an artist, and is currently lecturing and performing around the country and world. not to mention the fact that he's referenced on both the Sage Francis and Strange Famous pages as someone that should be covered by wikipedia. I can find about 20 more artist profiles on this site that are less 'notable'. compared to Buddy Wakefield page, this one is already ahead of the game. Endemik (talk) 22:31, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to agree with Endemik on the notability issue. Dolan's involvement in the American Apparel case should provide enough relevance alone. Furthermore, as this underground culture that B. Dolan is an active participant in continues to thrive, it should be our priority to catalog the figures involved. Onlyoneod (talk) 21:00, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
