WikiProject Theatre Assessment[edit]

Hi Jemwit (talk · contribs), Comatmebro (talk · contribs) and past/future contributors,

This article is on it's way to becoming quality encyclopedic content. It is well cited, for the most part, and is well-written. I've assessed the article as Start class for the following reasons:

  1. There are a significant number of sources that establish verifiability and they are implemented well into the article.
  2. The style and structure of this article need some attention. The lead section contains almost all the content of the article, and should be broken down into more coherent sections to follow the manual of style.
  3. The article reads like an advertisement at times, instead of a neutral voice.

I've assessed the article as Low importance in the theatre WikiProject for the following reasons:

  1. Austin Shakespeare is a highly specific group to the greater-Austin area. As a result, it's scope of influence does not reach a majority of regular theatregoers and/or the Wikipedia theatre community.

Please also note, I have flagged this article as potentially failing to meet general notability guidelines. Per WP:NGO, the article as-is fails to meet the 1st standard of notability. Although the 2nd guideline has been satisfied via coverage inThe Austin Chronicle and Now Playing Austin, the article has not been able to provide factors that constitute wide-spread attention. If the 1st standard can be established, there are no further issues with notability that I have been able to see.

All this being said, the article is well-written and has the potential for quality content.

All the best,
