Original research[edit]

Claims such as research being "key" to a field, or being a "prime" research area of a university need to be substantiated in reliable independent secondary sources. Please review reliable sources for some guidance on what would work for that. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 00:15, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

They were, but apparently you just blindly vandalize. --Mathsfreak (talk) 17:25, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not in independent sources. The only source I saw cited originated at the University of Basel. —C.Fred (talk) 21:27, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. Some independent reliable sources are needed, not just primary sources for such claims. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 22:33, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Most famous student[edit]

Is it a violation of WP:SPS for a university to make a comment on who one of its professor's most famous student was? It's borderline, but I don't think it's that unreasonable. —C.Fred (talk) 21:23, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
