Talk:Audyssey Laboratories

This entry should remain on Wikipedia for a few reasons. First, the demand from many Audyssey customers and consumers in the high-end audio industry seek straightforward information about the brand, its history, and its products. Second, Audyssey is a market leader, and many of its peers, competitors, and partner companies maintain extensive Wikipedia entries (see Bose, SRS, Linn, Denon, Marantz, etc.). Third, this entry is neutral and well-sourced.

The entry is far from an advertisement for Audyssey. It's a clear and concise description of its technologies and is no more biased or unjustified than any of the myriad pages devoted to high end consumer audio brands and technologies.

That said, the page *could* be scaled back significantly if that will ensure its continuing presence on Wikipedia.

———————————————————————————————

1) If customers want information, they can go to the home page. 2) The company doesn't do anything really special and have one or two products, hardly a market leader. It might be that there are more marketing entries in this field, but that's hardly an argument for keeping. 3) This article is not well sourced, there's only one source given and it's definitely biased, being on the homepage of the university where the company originated.

It's a rather well done ad-page but still an add page.
