Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.

Note to editors[edit]

Wikipedia:Autobiography: "Writing an autobiography on Wikipedia is an example of conflict of interest editing and is strongly discouraged. Editing a biography about yourself is acceptable only if you are removing unambiguous vandalism or clear-cut and serious violations of our biography of living persons policy.

Wikipedia has gone through many prolonged disputes about the significance, factual accuracy, and neutrality of such articles. Avoiding such editing keeps Wikipedia neutral and helps avoid pushing a particular point of view. Writing autobiographies is discouraged because it is difficult to write a neutral, verifiable autobiography, and there are many pitfalls."

Conflict of interest[edit]

I brought this up with EddieHugh last October. If you check the edit history, you'll see a redlinked editor named arlenroth has been working on this article since November 2011, meaning that possibly this person is writing an autobiography. The article has many biases. Particularly distasteful is the Personal life section where he uses the article as a memorial for his deceased wife and daughter and to suggest that there has been a controversy about their deaths. He complains about the negligence of rescue workers. Obviously Wikipedia isn't the place to air your grievances. I've been deleting POV material since October but sometimes it returns. The redlinked arlenroth is either not getting the point or ignoring it.
