Picture[edit]

I improved his picture a bit -- now, it has better colours and doesn't look so white-ish. The copyright tag says it's from an Indian Movie magazine; I have no idea if that's true; maybe someone who has access to Indian Movie Magazines could check it? --Plumcouch 17:23, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

How tall is he? Someone put 6'1" but I think it was wrong so I changed it to 6 feet. Im pretty sure that's more accurate

Arjun Rampal[edit]

Hii Dears, I don't know why is there such hue n cry about Arjun's background. I am a Gujjar and my mother's surname is Rampal too and she is also from same community. So do i need an evidence for being aware of my own community, thats strange.some sites also say so-www.bollywood-actors.in/arjun_rampal.php www.crystalled- roses.net/listing/arashri/PR_arjun.shtml Its strange that he has been mentioned as from brahmin caste in your article without verifying the same. His cousin is Kim Rampal(a Gujjar) Well as Punjabi saraswat Gujjar are not in habit of disclosing about their community to everyone as they are not into caste system any more and are broad minded, such types of problems and confusion arise. The fact is that he will remain a Gujjar even if you keep on mentioning him as a sikh, jat or Brahmin but truth won't change.


This is regarding Arjun Rampal's background. The information which was there is absolutely correct and has been cross checked. The sources are absolutely reliable and one source imdb has already been used in the article if that is unreliable that means other information which is there is not reliable and should be removed as well. I found User:Shshshsh has been removing information about his parental and ethnicity on no basis saying that sources are unreliable which is absolutely incorrect as one refrence of that article as already been a source to that article so sources are completly reliable as far as other issues are concerned, we can discuss it over here. So any editor before editing the article should atleast see the whole scenario and guidelines before making any edit/move, you might be saving one policy but at that same time you are distructing the other policies as well, specially Vandalism is totally untolerable. First, yesterday was the first time I removed this info. iloveindia, indianactors and IMDb are not reliable sources. Feel free to restore with reliable sources, preferably newspapers. Do not reinsert without sources. Please calm down. IMDb is good only for hard data like films and awards. The other info on the site is edited by users. Please see Wikipedia:Citing IMDb.
