Untitled[edit]

Is the 'Philly Soul' label appropriate or adequete for this entry? The band are described as starting off in Houston, and listening to the track 'Tighten Up' suggests much of more of a 'Southern Soul' feel. Can anyone comment on this further? - Objective Hack.

Separate subjects[edit]

The person Archie Bell and the band Archie Bell & the Drells are not the same thing. It should be separate articles. LarRan 13:53, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tighten Up Lyric[edit]

Is the line really "we dance just as good as we walk" ? It sounds more like "want," not walk. It's hard to tell on the original recording, but it much more clear on a youtube video of a live performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0n7C1AyU-9Q —Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.183.185.128 (talk) 17:01, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is indeed hard to tell exactly what's said, but doesn't "just as good as we walk" make more sense? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.3.38.150 (talk) 20:44, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Tighten Up (Archie Bell & the Drells song) quotes Bell as saying the lyric is "want", although the claim lacks a citation. --hulmem (talk) 04:43, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

despite their incapacitated leader?[edit]

Quoting the entry:

"The success of the single prompted the band to rush out an album, despite their incapacitated leader."

Okay, call me dumb; but whom is this referring to? Kennedy? Archie? I wouldn't think that there are racist weasel words in this entry.

Just want to make sure this is clear in the entry.

Thanks,

-Patrick

Archie Bell & the Drells discography[edit]

Support split - Discography section takes up close to half of the page, and should be split to a new article entitled Archie Bell & the Drells discography. --Jax 0677 (talk) 17:33, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No strong view, but would prefer a table format that was wider and shorter - the cells in that second column, in both tables, have far too much in them. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:36, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm only moaning. It's not like I want to do any work, lol. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:15, 10 May 2016 (UTC) [reply]
  • This has been here 2 years and I think it is fine within the article at the moment, so removing split suggestion. Million_Moments (talk) 16:59, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
