Which is the first?[edit]

It is said in the article this is the second longest flagpole. which one is the first??? shouln't that info be included? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Steloukos (talkcontribs) 18:58, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe this is the first. That is what the source says and what this article used to say. I am changing it now.--189.33.10.60 (talk) 20:59, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Expand[edit]

In addition to what is above, this article needs to tell more about the history of the pole, as the specifications tell nothing about the history of the pole and the ideas behind it. I also agree with Steloukos above. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 20:32, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tall Story[edit]

There seems to be some confusion, as this article says that the flagpole is 137m tall, but in the technical data section it gives its height as 132m.

Also, in the entry on the Raghadan Flagpole (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raghadan_Flagpole), the article states that the Aqaba Flagpole stands at 137 metres tall, but then goes on to claim that the tallest flagpole is the Ashgabat Flagpole at 133 metres tall. Now maths are not my strong point, but I'm sure that 133m is not greater than 137m. —Preceding unsigned comment added by El Badboy! (talkcontribs) 16:52, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's a lot of confusion indeed, but I changed the article to state that it's the world second tallest flagpole, because the builder himself states on his own website that it's 130m tall, and the Guinness World Records currently goes to the Ashbagad flag in Turkmenistan at 133m tall. I believe those to be the most credible references on the subject.געגאנגען/Gegangen (talk) 14:32, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
