(New VAST pgs)[edit]

Within the last month or so I have edited and created many new VAST pages, including the various ones that did not exist for recent releases. Please feel free to add any new content that you feel may be relevant or helpful to visitors.

Fair use rationale for Image:April (Titles & Credits).jpg[edit]

Image:April (Titles & Credits).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merge proposal[edit]

   Hard to imagine why they were ever split, and merging will facilitate comprehension of the devlopment between releases. April to September is 5 months; 24 hours from now, i'll construe consensus to merge.

ED HIST MESS[edit]

   The former article April (online version) was begun about a year before April (retail version), which is likely to contain material derived from its predecessor, but did not replace it. The 2nd revision under the new title "April (VAST album)" starts with the last revision under the title "April (online version)" and continues (in comment markup) with the markup of the last revision of "April (retail version)" before that page's conversion to a Rdr. The attribution problem is too complex to describe in the edit summary: i'll soon cut & paste material out of the long comment and then use it to supplement or modify the combined article, which will thus have

  1. material orginally contributed under the title "April (online version)" (perhaps modified there), covered by the (pre-rename) edit history of "April (online version)" and explicitly reflected in the edit hisotry now found at April (VAST album);
  2. material eventually copied by me from "April (retail version)" to "April [[VAST album)", including
    1. material copied by others from "April (online version)" (with or without modification there and used to create (or modify) "April (retail version)", perhaps without proper mention of this in the corresponding edit summaries, and
    2. material (copied into comment markup) whose original licensing to WP was in edits whose edit history remains at April (retail version)

   Got that?
