Quotes[edit]

I see several unsourced quotes in this article. Does whoever included them have a source they can cite?24.131.12.228 03:59, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Debra Brown[edit]

I think that this page should not have been redirected from Debra Brown. Although these people committed crimes together, they aren't the same person and need seperate pages... and yes, this page needs citations and references! Naysie 02:01, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did Brown ever have her own page? I fully agree that she should not be included with Coleman, especially since she is still alive and going through legal processes.70.225.143.124 (talk) 16:22, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Alton coleman.jpg[edit]

Image:Alton coleman.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 08:46, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"African-American serial killer" ?[edit]

Why is he blandly described as "an African-American serial killer"- when it should be something more apt like "African-American child killing paedophile"?

He was a child killer, pedophile, and serial killer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.59.61.207 (talk) 03:13, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pansexual[edit]

A prison psychiatrist labeled Alton Coleman as being Pansexual and willing to have sex with anyone or anything, why is this not mentioned in the article? I saw a documentary on TV about Alton Coleman and Debra Brown and they showed the prison psychiatrist's report saying this about him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.59.61.207 (talk) 18:20, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New Sources[edit]

I tried to respond to the issue raised about the referencing of the article. In doing this, I reviewed the Crime Library article, About.com, Murderpedia and the articles quoted therein, the Detroit Free Press, ACLU's clemency letter, and around 49 articles still online at the Chicago Tribune. Nevertheless, this effort has been only partially successful, because so much of the detail in this article seems not to be online. The Robert Carpenter story and the Palmer Jones story appear nowhere. Oddly, the article didn't include a paragraph on the Tonnie Storey murder. On all the crimes, the article includes a wealth of detail not seen in any of the references I could locate (and some detail in actual conflict), sometimes making it difficult to reference the facts I could find references for. If I had to guess, this is all from John Douglas' work. The web location was dead. There is a book, which my library didn't have. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.109.90.197 (talk) 00:27, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

School[edit]

If Coleman went to school in Waukegan, he was a junior-high-school (7th-8th grades) or a high-school (9th-12th grades) dropout, not a middle-school dropout. 104.153.40.58 (talk) 03:01, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
