death[edit]

Dixie Lullaby by Mark Kemp (a great book btw) flat out states that Woody died of a heroin overdose. There was also an interview with Gov't mule/Allman brothers band guitarist Warren Haynes and gov't mule drummer Mat Abts where they state that Allen Woody was going to go to rehab for drugs two weeks after his accidental death and how he had a drug problem.

Can you tell us on what page number it states he died of a heroin overdose? If we know that we can use the book as a reference. Freikorp (talk) 02:55, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Citations![edit]

this article really needs citations and, BTW, this isn't for fans to enter original info, whether it be necessary completely true and common knowledge or a personal interview someone took with him. See WP:OR--Leahtwosaints (talk) 17:11, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Should be added into the category of deaths by heroin overdose in NYC[edit]

Allen Woody died of a heroin overdose. This should be mentioned in the article as it's a fact and Gregg Allman said this in his memoir, and another source posted about above mentions it. He should be in this category: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Deaths_by_heroin_overdose_in_New_York — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.34.201.59 (talk) 20:30, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
