basically one notch above start-class[edit]

"Tabular data"[edit]

By what stretch of the imagination is a couple of lists "tabular data"? You don't appear to understand what "tabular data" means.

Regardless, you're not understanding why using tables for layout is such a disater. You have to think outside your own monitor—imagine someone on a netbook, tablet, or smartphone (in Desktop mode) were to view the page. You're pushing the second list off the page, for no semantic reason. There are other ways of handling this: for example {{div col}}.

Please keep aware of the semantics of the markup you use—for instance, using semicolons for bolding (semicolons are for creating Definition lists). Curly Turkey ¡gobble! 00:56, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Best now to keep the Spiders' article[edit]

I don't know why the blue box on top of article says that someone recommended to merge The Spiders' article with this one--I don't see anywhere on this talk page where someone has recommended to do so. I feel that the Spiders' article should remain as a separate entity. Since the Spiders cut a couple records which are unique to the garage era of the 60s, and have collectors and fans that are lovers of that form, why shouldn't the Spiders have an separate article? they were the biggest band in Phoenix in 1966. The Spiders' can now be presented in Wiki lists of garage rock bands and discussed in articles on garage rock. Without such an article, we loose the ability to do those things. So, any move to fold that article into this one is counter-productive. If we were to merge the two articles, then it would have to be done in such a way that gives the garage era Spiders equal footing (i.e. having their name in the tile, etc.), so that their namesake can be put in garage rock related articles and lists and can be dealt with as that kind of entity. The Spiders article has no references. I do not see a discussion or proposal on a talk page to merge the article, so the template can be removed (if someone reverts or adds it again, proceed to the talk page). However, given that someone feels it should be merged and the article is unreferenced, there is currently reason to either merge or delete The Spiders article. Punk rock? Psychedelic rock?[edit]

about/see/click[edit]

Ok, I will be the responsible party and open up the discussion on the matter.

There are three Alice Cooper pages that need sorted out.
First, we have "The Alice Cooper Band", which existed until the early 70's. The lead singer, Vincent Furnier, of that band eventually changed his name to Alice Cooper. Therefore, "Alice Cooper" is now a person/musician. He has a band that is simply called "Alice Cooper" (sometimes called The Alice Cooper Show, to distinguish between the man and the band, as well as the original The Alice Cooper Band). That band, in contrast to the 10 years of the other band, has been around for 40 years(and counting).

If someone wanted to look for information on the current band "Alice Cooper", they would search and they would find --- Alice Cooper (band). But, under the current page structure, the link to the 2016 band is down near the bottom. They would need to read the bulk of the article to discover that they were looking at something that hasn't existed since 1972 (1974, depending on the source). I would think that "The Alice Cooper Band" and Alice Cooper's band are similar enough to warrant a "click here" at the top of the page the same way "The Alice Cooper Band" and "Alice Cooper (musician)" need to be distinguished. In fact, I would think that the two bands need separated at the top even more than the band and the individual because of the similarities.
Alice Cooper's band did not exist in 1965. But The Alice Cooper Band did.

There are situations where a solo artist is known as a person and a band. Rob Zombie would be one - you can't add too much information about the band to the Rob Zombie page because he is a living person and it is considered his personal page. Beyonce would be another. I don't think that Beyonce needs a "Beyonce band" page. And, I am sure that there are WP Rules regarding it as well. That is all well and good for simple situations. But, not often do you see a situation like we do here, where the man in a band changed his name to be similar to the band name and then started his own band with a similar name.
Alice Cooper. Alice Cooper's band. The Alice Cooper Band. All I am asking is that Alice Cooper's solo group be listed at the top so that anyone looking can see that they two are different and have their own pages.

Testicular fortitude? This isn't even worth responding to. The user that opened an ANI I think should have opened a SPI but they didn't. 3 Ip's with little or no other edits conveniently show up to edit war on your behalf doesn't really seem to pass the duck test. You need to drop the battleground behavior.

There's no actual reason to put this in a hat note or see also on this page. The content that you are discussing is a split. Alice Cooper is it's parent article and it is linked in the appropriate section of that article. The list lacks any substantive information and contains only a list of individuals that were credited to either work in the studio or as touring personnel.-Serialjoepsycho- (talk) 19:05, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

My cousin frm CA and he's on Facebook Don Green aka.. House of Alice is a Superstar when it comes to a tribute to Alice Cooper. My wish is for Alice to see this and go meet my cousin Don. The band page has less band infos[edit]

This page says it is about the band, go check Alice Cooper if you're searching for the artist… truth is, that page is much longer and refined and contains much more information about the band that this one does. I wonder if a merge, or moving some paragraph, is in order.
