Requested move 10 February 2023[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. No consensus to move; the move request was based on the proposed title being consistent with other political campaigns, but Mellk has demonstrated the strength of this argument to be weaker than initially thought.

A discussion on broadly moving the articles using the same format as the current title of this article may be more successful. (non-admin closure) BilledMammal (talk) 04:03, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Alexei Navalny 2013 mayoral campaign2013 Alexei Navalny mayoral campaign – Typically, articles begin with the year, like 2013 Moscow mayoral election. I'm proposing it be moved to be consistent with other articles, in line with the WP:CRITERIA. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 03:00, 10 February 2023 (UTC)— Relisting. —usernamekiran (talk) 05:29, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Support, makes sense to me. Ymblanter (talk) 06:19, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support, consistent with the norms of English language. Lokys dar Vienas (talk) 17:16, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support per above. Mellk (talk) 17:17, 17 February 2023 (UTC) Oppose. After looking at other articles for political campaigns specifically, it seems that the year is not first, for example Donald Trump 2024 presidential campaign, Joe Biden 2020 presidential campaign, Vladimir Putin 2018 presidential campaign, Alexei Navalny 2018 presidential campaign, and so on. So this move would not be consistent with the other articles. So as a result I have changed to oppose. Mellk (talk) 18:37, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Red-tailed hawk: Have you noticed this? Mellk (talk) 23:56, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
