POV content[edit]

...the government ripped the people off.... and other stuff; needs to be rewritten with less harsh tone, or less slangy wording anyway; won't bother with the POV template for now. Too tired to redo it right now, but heads up to someone who might want to have a go (OldManRivers?).Skookum1 11:18, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Started cleaning it up a bit, without compromising the integrity of what was happening. (ie: specific government pillaging under Indian Act). Glad to help out a bit where and when I can, I'm with you guys. --Keefer4 03:14, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what to do with this information but --- The Village of Alert Bay covers only one half of Cormorant Island, and only a small percentage of native people live on that half of the island, the rest of Cormorant Island is Indian Reserve and this is where most of the Native People, live. The estimates are that between 1200-1300 people live on the island. 16 June 2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.52.48.139 (talk) 22:53, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reserve populations[edit]

Just noting that since the IR titles redirect here, the section on Population should have the reserve populations, which are separately counted from those of the Village of Alert Bay.Skookum1 (talk) 15:25, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
