Youngest player to score an NHL goal post-expansion.[edit]

Someone edited Barkov's page and made the claim that he is the youngest player in NHL history to score a goal. However, technically this is not true. As a result of World War II, players younger than 18 could play in the NHL, and I believe Bep Guidolin might be the youngest player to record an NHL goal (though I haven't done extensive research, there might be someone even younger). It is true that Barkov is the youngest player post 1967 Expansion to score, and I intend to edit this article so it is accurate. Ho-ju-96 (talk) 12:50, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

– This article is the primary subject people look for when they search "Aleksander Barkov". It is true that Barkov's father, "Alexander Barkov" has a similar name, but it is spelled with an "x" rather than a "ks". There is also a gymnast of the same name that does not even have an article. I believe that Barkov with a "ks" is distinguished enough from others to warrant this change. Moka Mo (talk) 21:48, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support in principle. The Lithuanian trampolinist is not notable and notwithstanding a redlink (which I'm tempted to remove), there are only 2 entries on this page. Pageviews show that Junior is the primary topic by popularity. So, redirect Aleksander Barkov to Aleksander Barkov Jr., and G14 delete Aleksander Barkov (disambiguation). The hatnote is enough to recognise that their given names are both transliterations of Александр. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 09:58, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support in principle. I support changing the title of "Aleksander Barkov Jr." to just "Aleksander Barkov" and deleting the page "Aleksander Barkov (disambiguation)". There should just be a link to Jr. and Sr.'s pages at the top of each article. Moka Mo (talk) 18:52, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
