Alan Harverson (Hooper) was a very distinguished organist and deserves a complete and permanent entry. His position as organist for Last Night of the Proms alone would justify this. His long association with St. Gabriel's Church, Cricklewood and it's exceptional organ and the broadcast concerts from the church are also important.
Harverson's impact on British organ buidling[edit]
As Director of Music at the Servite Priory, Fulham Road, between 1996 and 2003 and having overseen a regulating and updating of the piston mechanics on the Grant, Degens & Bradbeer conceived by Harverson I would suggest his notability is such for the fact that he designed and had built one of the first three manual tracker instruments in the UK in the 20th Century, creating an instrument that is unique in it's appeal fifty years on.Palookaben (talk) 08:34, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
