Wasn't he born on the 9th, and not the 8th? Amber388 14:44, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

I can't find any "official" source for this info. There is another Web site that lists it as the 9th, but I don't know that it's reliable. Maybe we should just change it to say the year until we can find a source. --Aguerriero (talk) 16:09, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
Found in a writing by a family member of his that the 9th is his birthday. If we have no citation for the 8th, I'm going to take the word of this family member, which coincides with nndb. If people get upset and revert it, I'll not start a revert war, as this is not certain, but I'm inclined to believe the 9th. Amber388 17:08, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm upset!!! I sent him a birthday card on Oct 8!!! Just kidding. :)--Aguerriero (talk) 17:37, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

He was on Opie and Anthony a while back & stated that he wants to do another band & call it the "Ku Klux Klowns".--67.85.214.140 21:53, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Everytime I mention his views on 911 in the political section it gets deleted. Please, we need to get the truth on this page. No matter how you feel about it, Al's views on 911 are plain in the song lieslieslies. There needs to be mention of this on his page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.237.117.62 (talk) 03:11, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Awful

Worst written rock related bio ever. Buster (talk) 03:57, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Good lord he lost an arm?? Where have I been?? ... and yea this article pretty much sucks. WeAreOurOwnDevils (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 02:15, 19 April 2010 (UTC).

Yes thankfully I am not alone in thinking this is a shallow bio on one of the true pioneers of industrial music.

- attended Maine North HS in suburban Chicago before it was closed (Filming site of the Breakfast Club) - In the early years he used a fake British accent - In the late 80's his drug of choice was crystal meth - complete with long binges of sleepless recoding sessions in his personal studio. - His main jaunt in the late 80's was The Smart Bar. - Ministry caught a huge break filling in when Simple Minds could not play the Day in the Park with Police at Wrigley Field. - Ministry was the bread and butter of hard core new wave juice bars in Chicago and possibly Texas. There was a strange link between the two locales. Every Day is Halloween was the anthem for new wavers and their look at the time. - His drum beats and trademark screams set the tone for industrial. - While others in the 80's used the Linn Drum machine it is believed he used a Fairlight Sampler to get the trademark sound. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.27.156.81 (talk) 17:42, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

Jourgensen's birth name

The article's info box states that Al's birth name is Alain David Jourgensen, yet the Bio section states that his Danish step father changes his name to Jourgensen when he moved to the US. If the latter is the case, then his birthname cannot be Jourgensen. Does anyone know what it is, or is the step-father reference incorrect? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vans74 (talkcontribs) 12:30, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

Outdated album info

The article's information about the most recent Ministry and Revolting Cocks albums is out of date, as seen by comparison with the articles about those bands. More significantly, this article fails to mention that Jourgensen has declared Ministry is now disbanded. Instead, it refers only to a revival of the band that happened three years ago.Jtcarpet (talk) 14:48, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

Could be better

The main article on Ministry/Alain Jourgensen reads like it was written by a 12 year old. I'm not saying I can do better, but the article reads poorly and it could be better. Alain deserves better. This is from a 56 year old fan, who followed Ministry in the 1980's and has an original vinyl copy of STIGMATA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.119.35.98 (talk) 23:31, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, it's a fucking mess. Just like Al. 72.220.174.167 (talk) 02:06, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
