Peter Moore(s)

Apparently there are multiple Peter Moore's. The most famous one is of Sega, MS, and EA fame. The 2nd one is Peter C. Moore who served as creative director to both Nike and Adidas.^[1] It's even more confusing because both guys are old and bald, and the 1st Peter Moore worked for two shoe companies as well: Patrick and Reebok. ^[2] Can we make this more clear somehow by using Peter C. I am not quite sure why someone credited Spike Lee as the designer of the AJ1, but I, along an endless list of sources, are pretty sure that Peter Moore designed them. Horrible

Air Jordans are probably some of the most popular shoes in history, and this article is completely unbecoming of their legacy. Horrible article; no pictures, ugly layout. Horrible.

It seems that almost all of this article is taken, with some minor modifications to the language and some colorful opinions mixed in, from http://www.nicekicks.com/air-jordans/air-jordan-1/ . Whoever wants to should basically cut out the dumb additions and then cite that page.

Sky Jordans?

This article is really cheesey. It seems it was written by someone working for an ad company, an MJ fanboy, or someone who like shoes way too much. There are also a few spelling errors.

They were not inspired by Tuxedo Shoes. They were inspired by a car. The patent leather was meant to replicate the look of chrome.

Jordan Brand: Change to or Separate?

While this article largely covers the Air Jordan line of shoes, there is a lot of Jordan Brand related information. Either this article should be retitled Jordan Brand, or a separate article should be created for the Jordan Brand. Any thoughts? heat_fan1 (talk) 13:22, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

Air Jordan Flight Sc 1

The Air Jordan Flight SC-1 borrows features from other Air Jordan models. The sole comes from the Air Jordan 3 while laceholders look similar to the ones on the Air Jordan IV. But lets focus on the details of this colorway. This colorway of the Flight SC-1 features a upper made mostly of smooth white leather. Team Jordan

If any of the wikipedia editors weren't Fucking Stupid they would go the team jordan official website and realize that half of the wikipedia page listed members of Team Jordan ARE NOT TEAM JORDAN MEMBERS. I already tried to edit it correctly based on the the official team jordan website but my edits got deleted for NO reason (I had correct formatting and listed members).

The only way to make this article better is that everyone contributes, edits it, and tries to fix it - not just complain about it. This is a call to other editors to put in an effort. I'm taking photos of pairs that I own, but surely there are other people who own pairs that I don't. dismal success

At the start of the article in the piece about the first air jordan there is a phrase: "In 1994 the Air Jordan 1 was re-released with dismal success." I am not a native English speaker but i think that calling something a dismal success is not proper English. Air Jordan murders and muggings

Since the late-80s/early-90s there have been news stories about kids getting killed for their Air Jordans. Two kids were just killed this month (December 2012) over the shoes: an adult and 16-year-old, both in Texas. Here's a noted 1990 Sports Illustrated article about an Air Jordan-related murder, it also references a second Jordans murder around the same time as well as the rise in muggings over the shoes. --Bobak (talk) 16:01, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Retroed vs. Retro-ed vs. Retro'ed vs. Retrod

These terms are inconsistent in the Product history section. I assume they all mean the same thing, but "retroed" is spelled three different ways and "retrod" means something a bit different. The term "re-release" is also used, but I have no idea if this is the same thing or different. Actual quality and performance as a shoe.

As a researcher with no interest in actually owning or wearing such shoes, I was hoping to find data relating to their actual quality and performance. Is there any hard evidence at all that they are worth their high retail price, or that the physical details of their design and construction materials and so-called annual technical 'improvements' impart any measurable advantage to an athlete in preference to another brand such as Adidas or Reebok, or indeed to a ten dollar plimsoll? Jordanian airline "Air Jordan" had nothing to do with "Royal Jordanian"

"Other uses:" The Jordanian airline "Air Jordan" had nothing to do with "Royal Jordanian". It operated the types CV-240, C-46, DC-3, DC-4 (lsf Transocean) and DC-6 in the 1950s until 1961, plus Airspeed AS.65 Consul and De Havilland DH.104 Dove. "Royal Jordanian" was only founded in 1963 as "Alia".

Roger Federer

In the Sponsorship section Roger Federer is mentioned. I'm not a sneaker expert, but I don't think Roger Federer is currently sponsored by Air Jordan. Since last year he is an owner of the brand on. "Air Jordan" refers specifically to the line of basketball shoes, while clothing, jerseys, and accessories are made by "Jordan Brand." Nike refers to the brand as simply "Jordan". Television and Films

Air Jordans have implemented their significance in pop culture and on the big screen. Many shows and movies have included the shoes in the movies, which led to the Air Jordan brand releasing exclusive shoes that were inspired by the movie. In this category, I suggest briefly mentioning movies such as Do the Right Thing, Space Jam," and He Got Game to emphasize the significant role that the movies have played in some of the Air Jordan designs. Each of the shoe descriptions found in this category vary; some of the descriptions are long, short, or even one sentence; therefore, some of the information is insightful and some is not, so I think finding a consistent paragraph structure is necessary in order to ensure that equal amounts of information are included in each shoe description.
