Glenshee Ski Area[edit]

General point - the 'Glenshee Ski Area' as it is named, is not in Glenshee, nor Glen Shee. It stands between Glen Clunie in Aberdeenshire, and Gleann Beag in Perthshire. Glen Shee is actually about 5 miles away. WikiWriter (talk) 06:23, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Advice[edit]

Not sure what to do about this article. I've tidied it up a bit and added some links, but it reads like a CV, one of the editors has a connexion with the subject and I think some of the publications may be self-published (Paragon Publishing, Rothersthorpe). Probably needs some trimming but I'm not familiar with the area - anyone? Tacyarg (talk) 23:27, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Tacyarg: Adam Watson is a very well known expert on the Cairngorm mountains and the ecology of Deeside. His knowledge and authority extends over a wide range of subjects and that has resulted in the article drifting into a long cv-like list. Some cv! He has written a large number of utterly reputable books (the standard reference in some topics) and, as an academic, he has been a very prolific author. However, I agree the list of publications is excessive and his later output should be mentioned rather than listed. As well as some copy editing, which you have helpfully done, the article would benefit from substantive additional material. I'll try and see if I can help (but over the next several weeks) but I have not been able to find a published biography of him. Thincat (talk) 11:41, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
