there is a huge mistake in the biography, and you could check it as reading carefully his oficial web page: he has not been mayor of Santa Cruz but of his hometown, supossedly el Sauzal. The mayor of Santa Cruz from 1979 to 1987 was Manuel Hermoso Rojas, another former President of Canarias.
