Oppose. Yes, but we aren't writing in Spanish. A google search showed that Spanish sources use "Abrázame muy fuerte", while all English sources, such as the BBC, use "Abrázame Muy Fuerte". WP:COMMONNAME explicitly mentions using English sources if available, which they are in this case. Jenks24 (talk) 11:53, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Support. English language orthodox DOES NOT apply to non-English terms. When writing "Abrázame muy fuerte" we are writing in Spanish because those words are NOT English. Regardless of the sources, foreign language orthodox (style and grammar) is followed for foreign language titles or quotations even when embedded in English paragraphs. Regardless of the language of the article, the title is still in a foreign language and its orthodox should be followed. Foreign languages (and foreign Wikipedias) do not apply their orthodox to English terms, and the English language is no different in that respect. I'm surprised that the English Wikipedia doesn't have specific guidelines for foreign titles, and it's something that needs to be addressed immediately. Major English language websites, like Amazon.com and IMDb.com, follow these policies, the latter even lists very specific and strict guidelines on the subject, so I don't see why Wikipedia should be any different. For the record, Wikipedia:COMMONNAME#Common_names doesn't apply here. A television program's title doesn't qualify as a "common name." Second, using the term from "reliable" sources should only be applied if there's no definitive proper alternative. "Abrázame Muy Fuerte" is incorrect for it violates Spanish-language orthodox in an Spanish-language term. Abrázame muy fuerte is not English and should not abide to English orthodox.

What's throwing you off is that you don't realize that you cannot impose English orthodox on ANY foreign language, regardless of where the foreign language is used. COMMONNAME applies to common name terms such as "personal computer," "lawn chair", "picnic basket." "Abrázame muy fuerte" is a not a common name, it's a title. Not applicable.

USEENGLISH suggests that if the show had an official English name, in this case "Embrace Me Very Tightly" then it would be the preferred article title. "Abrázame muy fuerte" DOES NOT have an official English title, and capitalizing the words into "Abrázame Muy Fuerte" DOES NOT make it English, it makes it incorrectly formatted Spanish. T.W. Well, actually... IMDb.com lists "Embrace Me Tightly" as the international English title for this soap opera, so USEENGLISH might apply here in order to have this article be titled "Embrace Me Tightly" as an official English title may exist. Wikipedia guidelines suggest Abrázame muy fuerte[edit]

This title should no doubt me Abrázame muy fuerte. When internationalizing the show, the title was translated into English as "Embrace Me Tightly" (apparently), but never did the English language borrow the Spanish Abrázame muy fuerte, therefore, the title refers to the Spanish title and per WP:Naming conventions (capitalization), the title must abide to Spanish orthography. Never has the series been dubbed into English under the title "Abrázame Muy Fuerte," so capitalizing the title as such is a violation of the guidelines above. T.W.
