Unplanned pregnancy and abortion in Colombia: Causes and Consequences generates, for example, represents a significant increase compared to other countries. Exceeds the average of abortions in Latin America: one in 26 Colombian has an abortion vs. one in 33 women in the rest of Latin America. They recommend to strengthen contraceptive services, improve coverage and quality of post-abortion services and implement the judgment of the Constitutional Court for legal abortion. Furthermore it is important to pay special attention to women living in rural areas and in poverty, because they are the ones with more complications and obstacles.

Current legal status[edit]

This section seems to conflict with the opening para and doesn't include the February ruling. I'm hesitant to update myself since I don't know the law or speak Spanish. Also, I'm tipsy.
