This article is linked from sports events from before he was born. I think there is a mix up of the different footballers. --Avilena (talk) 14:42, 9 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Abdoulaye DialloAbdoulaye Diallo (footballer, born March 1992) – Subject is not WP:PRIMARYTOPIC; needs to be disambiguated, as there are three other footballers called Abdoulaye Diallo, including another born in 1992. Paul Vaurie (talk) 18:50, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. This player does indeed appear to be the WP:primary topic, based on pageviews as well as incoming links. The others are all 1-2 sentence stubs, and only about 2% of readers go on to the dab page. Station1 (talk) 22:37, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom, no historical WP:PRIMARYTOPIC by long-term significance.--Ortizesp (talk) 23:49, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Looks like this player (hereafter the March 1992 player) is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, based on pageviews and the fact that's he's playing in a more prominent team currently. The March 1992 player has 17 international caps and plays in the EFL Championship, which is more prominent than the October 1992 player who made one international appearance 8 years ago and plays in the obscure Luxembourg league, the 1996 player who is a non-international in the Russian second tier, or the 1963 player who retired almost 30 years ago. And then there's a retired judoka we seem to know very little about, and a triple-jumper whose name is only a partial match. All in all, most people right now will be looking for the March 1992 footballer rather than anyone else. Joseph2302 (talk) 11:13, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Being the original/historical source of the name doesn't really matter. When people search for Abdoulaye Diallo they mean the March 1992 player, not those other ones. --dashiellx (talk) 15:24, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - The March 1992 player is the primary topic. Of the four, his career is the most significant. He has played at a higher level and has been more involved with the national squad than the others. Agree with Station1 re page views. Stevie fae Scotland (talk) 18:16, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support The "born 63" player has a lot more appearances in the top division of French football (139 + European competitions) than the current player (18), who is now seemingly without a club after not playing in the English 2nd tier, so has comparable long-term significance. • Support - not the PRIMARYTOPIC, page views are not indicative. GiantSnowman 13:18, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
