Name[edit]

If the name was originally in katakana, then given kanji later, it sounds like it was probably an Ainu name originally. Is that right? It would be interesting to note that in the article, and give the meaning (if anybody knows it). --Reuben 16:45, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
