Article issues[edit]

This article does not qualify for B-class so I reassessed it to "C". It may have been bot promoted but fails the criteria of #1, 2, and 4. The content is largely supported by one source (Hanna, Charles W.) but other sources add confusion. Was the name a misspelling or an alias? If the person continued to use the name and returned to Philadelphia it was an alias. Anderson is listed as the "true name"

The Freedom Foundation apparently still lists the name as "Sanderson", likely using the name from the MOH award.

The subject was buried in Lebanon Cemetery. Due to the closing of many area cemeteries (Lebanon in 1902), and the opening of Eden Cemetery in Collingdale, Pennsylvania, the subject was reinterred in Eden Cemetary in 1903. At least one site erroneously mentions "mass burials" (with a name misspelling) because these many reinterments took place around the same time.

The infobox has the place of birth in Rogers, Arkansas. The MOH lists the place of birth as North Carolina. The Congressional Medal of Honor Society also lists North Carolina. The content in the "Later life and death" section includes content (and source) that "Sanderson" was born in Virginia. If Sanderson was a "misspelling" there should be records "somewhere" (Naval entrance etc...) to resolve the issue.

There are some important facts that agree but I see enough confusion, contradiction, and surmising that this seems like a partial ancestry-search endeavor instead of a Wikipedia article let alone B-class. -- Otr500 (talk) 20:49, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
