English title[edit]

A June 2011 tweet mentioned that the English was decided to be "A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives" http://twitter.com/#!/kamenp/status/81670175853772800 --Bxj (talk) 02:56, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore the tweet was typed with a lowercase "has", but it should be capitalized per MOS:CAPS#Composition_titles since it is a verb. Japanese people very frequently make English mistakes so let's not take in every mistake as a canonical form. --Bxj (talk) 12:31, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the Literal Translation[edit]

I don't know who did the literal translation, but my suggestion is to remove it totally, because Tenma is an author-invented term despite the fact it uses a loan word, but the point is it does not translate to "Devil". Moreover the title "Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi" actually translates literally to "Someday, (Subject becomes the) Dark Rabbit of the Tenma", where (Subject becomes the) is implied in the title, though the "implied part" will not be clear to native speakers as well unless they read the series up till volume 5 and beyond, and of course, the subject actually refers to Kurogane Taito. --Shin hachijyuu (talk) 16:37, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I don't know if you will answer me because your message is quite old and maybe you are not on Wikipedia anymore. So, I don't really understand when you say that "Tenma" doesn't translate to "devil", in a dictionary I found that "Tenma" translates to "devil from the sixth paradise" or a rough translation, but I think I might be wrong, if you answer and want proof of what I am telling you, I will send you the link to the site where I found the translation.

And so, how can you know that "Tenma" is a term coined by the author? if you will prove to me what you are saying, thank you. And so I think the translation put in place is a correct translation (I was not the one who added this translation so don't think that I am saying that this translation is correct and that it could be me who added it! ) so yes, I think the translation "The black rabbit of the devil of an unknown time" is a correct translation, and I think that if someone added this translation it is that maybe this person can translate some text Japanese.
