Different tournament to the 2020 Asia Cup Qualifier[edit]

Per the ref from Kuwait Cricket, this is a different set of matches than the 2020 Asia Cup Qualifier. This page at the Asian Cricket Council has the "ACC" prefix - IE an Asian Cricket Council event. The T20 qualifiers will be held after the Asia Cup Qualifers, and be an ICC event. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:56, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate[edit]

@Bs1jac: CI has duplicate profiles for Muhammad Murad as Murad Khan and Muhammad Ikramullah as Muhammad Ikram. The source for Qatar squad also mentions Murad's full name as Mohamed Murad Khan. Human (talk) 08:25, 23 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I had spotted one of those too. Will take a proper look later, a bit busy today. Bs1jac (talk) 08:27, 23 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Bs1jac: Theres another with Zeeshan Butt identical to Sarfraz Butt. Imran Yousuf seems to have different DOB than Imran Yousaf. But Cricclubs is showing Yousaf. Interestingly, CI copied the DOB of Imran Arif into the new Imran Yousuf. Human (talk) 10:31, 23 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@A Simple Human: CI had already removed Muhammad Ikramullah and I changed it here to Muhammad Ikram. They are checking Muhammad Murad - that is the name they received from the ICC for the tournament, but they are checking if the other profile should be removed (I am pretty sure it should, but its up to them of course). Good spot RE Zeeshan Sarfraz Butt... reporting this now. I think Yousaf/Yousuf are different players, so will ask CI to check which it is. Bs1jac (talk) 10:43, 23 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ikramullah Khan[edit]

@Lugnuts: Hi. Ikramullah Khan has previously played in Pakistan and is now named in the Qatar squad. Thanks. Human (talk) 06:45, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Article created. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:19, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Andri Berenger[edit]

@Bs1jac and A Simple Human: - interesting point from Mr. Nixon's latest column about Andri Berenger. With his matches for Qatar, he's now played for three national teams. See the article for more about possible ineligibility issues! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:23, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We were discussing this at EC yesterday. Debate is around how long ago he played SL under 19s, what the rules were at the time, and precisely what they are now. ICC usually approve all squad lists especially for ICC events, so would be weird if something like this slipped through. Bs1jac (talk) 14:41, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
