Group D[edit]

"Croatia, Austria and France have 3 points and a 3–3 MD. Croatia is ahead because of overall MD and Austria won 3–0 against France."

According to the ITTF site, Austria is 2nd and Croatia 3rd: https://bornanblob.blob.core.windows.net/ittf-web-results/html/groups.html

I think overall MD doesn't count here, instead the order in this case is determined by comparing their stats when only their matches against each other are considered. Then they have 3:3 matches each, but 13:10, 14:13 and 10:14 games. (see also ITTF Handbook 3.7.5.2 https://d3mjm6zw6cr45s.cloudfront.net/2018/01/2018ITTFHandbook.pdf)

Edit: The same applies for Group J. --Thorwyn (talk) 21:06, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing it out. Kante4 (talk) 02:23, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

huge amount of brackets?[edit]

So, what is the meaning of all those brackets? The only placements that have decided are the division finalists. What is the point of having the 13-24, 37-48 and 61-72 brackets, since they only have it through semifinals?
There is also a strange "57th place bracket" with only semifinals, is that how all the placements should've been done in the article?
Though, it's almost the same for previous tournaments also. They seem to have more of these little brackets, but there's hardly any finals played on those. 2014 even has X's on the score of some. 91.154.188.185 (talk) 01:13, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
